Collaborative regional development in the MRN

In 2006, the organisations involved in communal regional development were restructured and incorporated in a public-private partnership model unique in Germany. Since then, Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH, the Rhine-Neckar Regional Association and Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V. have been representative of cohesive regional development.

The approach is simple and effective: The Rhine-Neckar Regional Association and Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V. define the strategic objectives for regional development activities in close liaison with the regional chambers of industry and commerce. The defined measures are then implemented in conjunction with Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH.

Common goal: To make the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region known and recognised by 2025 as one of Europe's most attractive and competitive regions.
