Shaping the future of our region together

The prerequisite for the success and sustainability of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region (MRN) are the traditionally close co-operation and intermeshing of business, science, politics and public administration. In 2006, the organisations involved in the communal regional development were restructured and incorporated in a public-private partnership model, the first of its kind in Germany. Since then the Rhine-Neckar Regional Association, Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V., Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region Foundation and  Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH have been representative of coherent regional development. The common objective of all the institutions involved is to make the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region (MRN) known and recognised by 2025 as one of Europe's most attractive and competitive regions.
